Hello class,
Prompt for tonight's post: from the article you're analyzing for the RA, pick out a figure of language of some sort (from what we talked in class today, or from the reading, or whatever--metaphor, alliteration, hyperbole, over/understatement, symbol, etc.) and analyze it. Why did the author choose this particular form of language? What effect does it have on his audience? Etc.
